Welcome Onboard!

The Swedish Ship Götheborg is a historical visitor’s destination in the city of Gothenburg and a ship loaded of experiences. A genuine working ship with a vibrant history, scarred by harsh storms and marked by thousands upon thousands of nautical miles on the seven seas. Here, visitors get to know everything from captivating stories to the tremendous art of shipbuilding in a contemporary 18th century environment during a guided tour on board. The ship can only be visited in the company of a guide.

Warmly welcome onboard!

'November holiday' activity

Come for a wonderful day with family!

From Monday 26th of October to Friday 30th of October, The Swedish Ship Götheborg is open with a special family program.

Of course, there are guided tours on the ship, but there is also plenty to do for the children, such as painting porcelain, tasting tea, playing board games, relaxing in our reading corner, and trying on historical clothes. And all of this in a historic atmosphere with a scent of tar.

Opening hours:

Monday 26th of October - Friday 30th of October

11.00 - 15.00

During the day, we offer the children (with their parents) and pupils a short tour on board.

The entrance fee is the same as during our regular weekend opening hours:

Adults: SEK 150

Children 7-16 years: SEK 70

Children 0-6 years: Free

Family (2 adults + 2 children): SEK 370

The entrance fee includes, among other things, trying out porcelain painting. You may take home the bowl you paint.

If a child under the age of 7 wants to paint, the bowl costs SEK 25.

The same requirement if you want another bowl in addition to the one included in the entrance fee.

Tickets can be purchased both on the website and on site in our shop!
